In 1933 the 4th International Congress of Modern Architecture (CIAM) took place on board the SS Patris, which sailed from Marseille to Piraeus and Athens.

 

80 years on, the On Board project undertook a journey from Marseille to Athens inspired by that of 1933 but following a different route.

 

The publication, presents the itinerary of the journey in the form of a diary that sets out the activities, presentations and discussions that took place each day, either on the move, on board various forms of transport (ferry, train, coach), or at each city stop.
