  • Old Man and The Sea, Ernest Hemingway
My task was to analyse and redesign Hemingway’s novel The Old Man and The Sea.
The front cover illustration represents the semantic duality strongly present throughout the novel:
human versus nature, man versus fish, victory versus defeat.

Ecological paper used for the book is made from seaweed of the Venice lagoon. Seaweed creates a light natural colour and noise pattern on the paper surface which visually supports diversity of meaning in novel’s content and structure.
