“Occupy your kitchen” is a short movie which aims to sensitize and to guarantee the minimal income right through a popular initiative. Many Italian critiques against this European initiative focused on the prejudice of the Italians’ laziness: if each Italian citizen received a minimal income, said the former Labor Minister Fornero, everyone would stay at home eating tomatoes’ pasta.

Beyond three simple stories of Italian made Pasta, one from the south, the second from the center and the last from the north of Italy, I tried to figure out the receipt for a more equitable society, guaranteed by self-determination, dignity and law un-certainty which would help disadvantaged people in building their own future.
