I was contacted by my old friends at the Oberlin Office of Communications suddenly inquiring about an old paper doll book I made for a class. They told me that Oberlin College had been ranked by Huffington Post as #2 Most Hipster College of 2012, and that they wanted to highlight this in the Oberlin Alumni Magazine with an illustration. In order to incorporate hipster fashion, they thought that devoting a page to a paper doll with hipster clothes and accessories would only make sense. The project had to be completed over only a few days, so it helped that I could incorporate the paper doll I had made previously. Being at Oberlin, it wasn't hard for me to think of some hipster attire. It was a very fun project.
