ORBIT is a dress I made for Western Washington University Industrial Design's annual "Trashion" show. The 2013 theme was Masquerade. I was inspired by Passion Pit's song,Sleepyhead, and wanted to capture the colors and movement that I felt were appropriate for the song in a party dress. It took practice to walk in. The large hoop skirt swung and twisted fantastically down the runway.

Close up of all six plastic bag/VHS tape woven strips, each sewn to a cotton fabric strip, then all sewn together to create the flat base "fabric" for the dress. Darts were added as well as a zipper in the back for easy-on/off.
