OPUS
Serviette Holder
OPUS was designed for a competition to design a serviette holder out of metal. The approach i took was looking at how often a serviette holder is holding serviettes, how people might interact with this object and how to make it as elegant and interesting as possible.
OPUS is designed so that is has a very low center of mass relative to its height so that when a serviette is removed it leans toward the person removing the serviette, before rolling and bobbling around in an entertaining way once the serviette has been removed. When not in use as a serviette holder, it is a simple, elegant and interesting object that can hold the center space of your dinning table with pride.
