István Örkény (1912 - 1979) was a Hungarian writer, recognised in world literature as the father of Hungarian grotesque prose.
The idea behind the logo is distortion as a visual form of the absurdity and the grotesque in literature. The logotype is based on a Grid system that reflects the writer’s extraordinarily brief, compact writing style.
The distortion in the identity has various aspects, both photography-based and typographic approaches too.
