Not Pinkshackleton
shackleton is an independent advertising agency founded in 2004. They grew, and grew, and grew, until they had to change the headquarters to another building. The building was, overall, great. Big, nice location, easy access to public transportation... It had only ONE problem: it was pink. Yeah, you got that right. PINK.
Pink is a great color, don't get me wrong. For five year olds. For cute little princesses. But not for a kick-ass advertising agency. So we decided to turn the opening party into a public petition to the building administrator.
We sent an email to all of our contacts: clients, former clients, prospect clients, friends, friends of friends... asking them to sign an online petition to paint the building. And attend our party.
The evite also had a link to a music video created for the occasion: a protest song sung by the rising star of the Spanish music scene, the singer-songwriter Victor GH.
We didn't change the building manager's mind at first (he painted it in 2011), but the party was a success, we had a blast shooting the music video, and it was also featured in Andreu Buenafuente's late night show (our national Conan O'Brien).
