Bēhance

  • Noir is a rigid construction packaging and product branding project for a French press coffee maker and 2 sample canisters of gourmet beans. The packaging is inspired by the  the coffee makers formal qualities of transparency and reflection. It uses only glossy and matte paper to create a fully functional tryptich experience for the buyer, reminiscient of the quazi-spiritual experience of their favorite morning drink.

    The minimalistic approach of the logo and typography is design to present a modern audience with the products history. Swiss design, which culminated at the same time the product gained popularity, is evident in the typographic treatment and the logo is developed from the geometry of the package itself.
