Nina Campbell complete style guide creation
I was asked byTotem Creative to concept and design a style guide for the interior designerNina Campbell. I downloaded all of the necessary imagery that was to be usedfor this seasons style and researched Nina Campbell's style to get an idea ofwhere to start. There was nothing for me to work off so I got to come up withcolour schemes, fonts and logo layouts myself. I made sure that they fit nicelywithin the constraints of the already well-established style of large floralpatterns and vibrant colours.
The reason for this style guide, just like any other, was to come up with the guidelines for product and packaging so that all licensor work would tie in to an overall theme. It was my job to lay down the rules for typography, holding shapes, patterns, colour palettes, frames, how product photography was displayed and how it all tied together on pack.
I created a few examples of product as well as a mock up pack to show licensors how they could use the colours and patterns effectively. I offered a few fonts that I felt matched the brand, and several colour palettes to match up with the logos, backgrounds and frames they would have access to.
