IDEO 2005. Immersion into the sneaker-head culture. Improving the Niketown experience.
Nike asked IDEO to explore why the Nike iD experience in Niketown stores wasn't performing well and to suggest solutions for improvement.

Nike iD is an application running on regular computers or touch screen kiosks that enable users to design, personalize and customize footwear. Users can choose colors, materials and add embroidered personal iDs.

We did an extensive user research in 5 cities (San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Honolulu and Osaka).
The information we gathered was synthesized into key findings that guided our design proposals.
