San Francisco and skateboarding shop staple, FTC, has partnered with the Nike Skateboarding crew to release a dunk low in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of their classic skate video, “Finally.”
Inspired by the VHS (this came before DVD’s and Blue Ray discs if you didn’t know) cover that was sketched by Bay Area Hip-Hop legend, Del The Funky Homosapien as he was emerging onto the scene, you can see the dunk takes many of its cues from the cover.
FTC will also release a deck, T-shirt and a DVD version of the film. Considered San Francisco’s coming out party in the skate scene, the film, produced by Aaron Meza (Girl Films) showcases the humble beginnings of Jeron Wilson, Keith Hufnagel (HUF owner), Chico Brenes and Guy Mariano before their cemented lore in wood pushing history.
An expected release through all FTC stores is slated for April, while Nike SB will have these as their May global quickstrike.
