Once a month, my family gathers together dinner. Hosting is rotated each month between households and becomes an opportunity to try new recipes, visit, and laugh together. Recently the dinners became “standardized”, being held on the third Sunday of each month.
For this project my goal was to create an integrated brand that reflects the fun and casual atmosphere that my family enjoys at each dinner while poking fun at the recent “standardization” of the event. The items are designed to be generic and interchangeable with each family having an “authorization stamp,” making the dinner official. Each item has a foundation in the idea of a classic family dinner mixed with references to my family’s personality which is often sarcastic, light hearted, and filled with good natured ribbing.
