Nha be District in Ho Chi Minh is a sub-urban neighbourhood economically powered by rice harvesting. Due to a new City planning, the neoghbourhood will increase significantly it density, becoming a residential neighborughood for communters.
The project aims to develop the area in a sustainable way. One of the main problems Ho Chi Minh faces is flooding. The protection against it remains in the keeping of the wetlands, to ensure a proper water infiltration. Agricultural fields, specially rice ones, provide a perfect solution for keeping the excessive amounts of water to flood the city. Therefore the urbamn planning develops inbetween four wetlands, settling the built areas and connections without interrupting the existing water flows. Read Less
