LOCATION sessions are done at my natural light studio in Madison, AL. I am also available for travel to your home. Please email me at jenfouts@hotmail.com for travel rates.
WHEN TO SCHEDULE the best time to contact me is before you have your baby. I will then add you to my calendar around your expected due date and send newborn session details. Once your baby arrives, please email me with a picture, full name and birth stats and I'll find a date for you to come to my studio. I prefer to do newborn sessions around days 5-14, so it's important to email after delivery. The first weeks work best to get the curly poses and longer amounts of deep sleep to pose and style. After two weeks of age, they are more likely to be disturbed while sleeping, and can also become colicky, or baby acne can start to flare.
SESSION PREPARATION I schedule newborn sessions around 10:30 am. The light in my studio is soft and pretty during this time and newborns seem to be sleepiest in the morning. If you can keep your newborn up minimum of 2 hours and preferably 3-4 hours before coming that helps for a sleepier session. This is not always easy to do but will greatly benefit both of us. The sleepier your newborn is the more set-ups I can get while they peacefully sleep! Before you leave to come make sure and feed so they are nice and full. The car ride to the studio will help to get them in a deep sleep so we can start right away with posing and styling. When you arrive at the studio leave your newborn in their car seat and I will be in charge once you enter. If you can bring a bottle and a binkie that helps greatly to keep the session moving peacefully.
AFTER THE SESSION a link to your gallery will be emailed around 2 weeks after your session along with details on how to place your print order. Your gallery will be viewable for one week. Once print payment is made, please allow 1-2 weeks after payment has been made the delivery of your order. Checks or credit card thru PayPal are accepted for payment. Orders will not be placed until payment is received in full. All images will remain on file should you ever desire additional reprints at a laterbr>
