Geography 403: Sustainable Food Systems
- On Friday February 11, 2011, thirteen geography students from Queen's University led by Dr. Betsy Donald took a trip to New York City to examine various food systems and issues in the region.
Our main field studies began the next day at the Green Market at Union Square. After an opportunity to speak to local producers and sample their goods, we walked towards the trendy Chelsea Market for our Foods of New York tour. Finally, we met with New York City Coalition Against Hunger Executive Director Joel Berg.
