New Painting Series

These are the first 8 paintings of a new series that I started in December 2010 as a further exploration of some sketchbook paintings that I had been previously working on. I try to put much emphasis on color relationships, layering and contrast while working in a painterly technique with bristle brushes and acrylic. All pieces are acrylic on gesso on chipboard. Much inspiration came from turn of the century poster artists such as Leonetto Cappiello and Lucian Bernhard. Expect more in the future and hopefully I'll be getting some advertising work from these.
