I have, over a period of time in the last couple of years, been playing around with a digital program on my computer. It is pretty ancient by today's standards and is incredibly "clutzy" since I don't even use a Graphos pen to draw the designs, but instead use a mouse (which is like trying to draw with a brick!:-)) The results are a cross between almost child-like simple drawing (which appeals to me as an artist) and the rather iconic designs of Art Deco posters from the 1920s, which I have always been drawn to, for their wonderful design simplicity. The images were at first going to be just images, but then I started to play around with messages and lettering, to create a kind of "Poster" feeling.
So far, the people to whom I have shown these have all loved them, so I have decided to present them here and let a wider audience see them. I have recently acquired a 13x19 " printer (size B+) and I've printed these out using archival inks on matte art paper and the results are rather stunning. I'm now considering making limited archival prints for sale of these, and they would make a great collection together, in an office space (and even framed, would not take up too much wall space), or hospital or hotel spaces. Affordable decorative art. I love the concept, and am working on more.
