Navratri with Tanishq

A festival that needs no introduction, the Navratri, is celebrated over 9 days and nights with great fervor and celebrations across the country. It’s that time of the year when children go on vacation, offices work less and people bond over rituals and sweets. Besides the festivities, the Navratri, like the 1000 Arabian Nights, also tells tales of goddesses with extraordinary and outwardly powers. The nine days are distributed amongst the incarnations of the three main goddesses, Durga, Laxmi and Saraswati. And in praying to them, one is said to be blessed with similar virtues to progress on one’s spiritual path. Each day is also represented with a colour, which are represented in the following images.

Navratri Day 1:
The Ascent Of Goddess Shailaputri
Navratri Day 2:
The Penance Of Maa Brahmacharini
Navratri Day 3:
The Bravery Of Goddess Chandraghanta
Navratri Day 4:
The Creation Of Goddess Kushmanda
Navratri Day 5:
The Blessings Of Goddess Skandamata
Navratri Day 6:
The Benevolence of Goddess Katyayani
