Native Adornment was a project that primarily concerns the cultural body coverings and art worn on the body. Much of my inspiration was bound by Louise Bourgeois and Native American headpieces. I created this sort of adornment that accentuates the ability to be immobile. To turn the head and neck would be/was painful because of the metal and wooden neck piece. This was formulated by the purpose of the neck stretching jewelry tribes continuously practice today.
