  • Breaking News is this newspaper's trademark tone and so… We provided lots of navigational elements to guide the readers through important or developing stories with full page infographics
  • News: More graphics and design-driven stories on a daily basis
  • Special subjects were proposed and given the attention they deserved by the editorial staff… With double-page daily investigative reports, crammed with stats and nice visuals to help them make rather boring stories that would otherwise be dismissed by readers, to look attractive and engaging

    Like on this DPS with a story focused on the political system…I modelled the full page —including the headline— with clay :)

  • More and more stories were treated to decent graphics on a daily basis, with more investigative reporting and follow-ups
  • I got so involved with them on those changes …that I even changed myself!… Serving as a guinea pig, that is :)
    We proposed that the best way to teach them how to do a follow-up to their own stories was to become part of the development of such a story ourselves and so, we got specialists onboard to help two people (me and a reporter) to lose 30lbs during a 2 month ordeal with exercise routines, a strict diet and psychologic therapy… encouraging readers to follow through the whole challenge via our website, twitter, facebook and two-page weekly updates with tips and routines.
