2005 - This project was like a thesis.
For years we worked to get NikeHockey.ca to the level the US brand sites for Nike. And we got our shot with the very large digital component of Nike's kick-off of hockey specific training products and position in the marketplace.
The integrated campaign via Taxi, Cossette, henderson bas and others was built around a very core insight, that the average hockey shift is :45 in duration. So most hockey players only get to the ice a few times during a game, and if that is the case, they better be prepared for each and every :45 seconds they get.
It provided a campaign framework to build arguably one of the tightest integrated programs I have ever worked on. And the site was the fullest in terms of content I had launched up to that date. We shot tons of video of Nike's elite trainers and athletes, and worked hard to showcase the hero, the Nike Shox 45 training shoe developed exclusively for the CDN marketplace.
