This is a live brief for the National Health Service UK, to create a Dementia awareness campaign that will be applied to 100 buses in cornwall. The campaign was to be educational and informing to raise the stigma that seems to apply itself when the subject of Dementia is present.
My audience is to be a very wide range people including young to old and sufferers to non sufferers.
My main idea is to keep it is simple as possible to explain visually the effects of Dementia to the mind.
I decided to actually hand render an image of the brain and show it unravelling like a piece of string, then the string leads across the image to the information and helpline for Dementia. Secondly I applied a question asking you personally 'do you feel your mind unravelling?', and below is a comforting fact of all the help available for the condition. This was a competition between myself and other designers on my course. My designs and ideas were chosen by the NHS for the campaign to be applied as the Dementia awareness campaign UK of 2010 to co-inside with the TV adverts and radio ads.
There are 3 posters to show the mind unraveling over time.
