NEVER JUDGE A BOOK

  • [NEVER JUDGE A BOOK - Typographic Book Covers]
  • With all the different letter forms and glyphs available, anything and everything can be visualised through good use of type. With this in mind, the brief for this project was to create book covers for some fun and kooky titles using only typography. Using a strong combination of colour, composition, and a tadpole looking comma, I designed these set of bold and interesting book covers.
  • Set of Typographic Covers
By mantaining consistancy in the way I used and treated the typography on the covers,  I ensured that they work together as a pair.
  • Knitting with Dog Hair; Better a Sweater from a Dog you know than a Sheep you'll never meet
I searched for the right font to give me the perfect shaped letters I needed to create my design. I used Slash Glyphs to symbolise the Knitting Needles, and a mixture of U's, J's, and X's to create the knit.
  • When all else Fails, It's time to try Frog Raising
The design consists of fullstops and O's creating the impression of Frogs eggs, while the different sized commas look like tadpoles. The title itself has a line though part of it as if it has been crossed off of a list, and the last option is the frog raising.
