This is a second version from a first oil canvas piece theme. At a certain point i got stucked with the oil version path. I wasn´t fully satisfied with it, and i also missed working with colored pencils. I decided to work a new version changing details and elements i wasnt satisfied with in the first version. I really enjoyed the result.

 

The theme is mistical. I started by adding into this composition the 4 elements - fire, water, earth and wind- and in the center a star and moon of night and a light blue surrounding meaning the day and sky. In the background there's a storm with electricity, that symbolizes the beginning of life. Billions of years ago, some event made life begin, and this is the idea behind this piece.
