- I got married at a beautiful historic home in Birmingham, Alabama that was was built in 1900. Born and raised in the south, I've been taught the rules of southern etiquette. I decided to turn my wedding invitation into a "guide to marriage" that pokes-fun of all the so called rules. My friend Chris Knight who is a brilliant writer, helped me turn this invitation into an amazing piece that won us a National Gold ADDY® award.
