- My Chemical Romance Album Campaign
Design and artwork from concept supplied
- My Chemical Romance is an American rock band, signed to Warner Music. Their studio album, “Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys”, was released in 2010. The album was accompanied by an overall creative concept developed in the US, with a full suite of graphics, icons, and photography. I was approached to take these elements, and apply them to various outdoor, print, and press executions for the UK.
- With a wealth of materials and background providing a start point, I worked with Warner Music to identify key messages per communication. In the case of the outdoor advertising a balance would need to be struck between a teaser for the album, and explicitly advertising the lead single “Na Na Na”. The 16 sheets and the banner site in Camden were designed with the intention of communicating the album concept. The subsequent 48 sheets were more direct in promoting the album.
