The 100-page, bi-monthly MúzeumCafé was founded by the Museum of Fine Arts in order to create a forum for Hungarian museum professionals and to introduce events, workshops, and findings both domestic and foreign. In addition, it seeks to promote initiatives aimed at invigorating the Hungarian museum world. It was the clear and open intention of the editors to create a magazine that could be perused with enjoyment not only by museum professionals but also by visitors drawn to the world of museums. Most of the 2,500 copies of the magazine are circulated to Hungarian public collections and cultural institutions free of charge, and they can also be purchased in the shops of large museums.
