Save the Music Campaign*
Murfie.com is a place to buy, sell and trade CD's. They market themselves as one of the good guys—they recycle all that nasty plastic while helping people de-clutter their homes by storing CD's in a (very tiny) room at Murfie.com headquarters. So it was only natural for them to pledge money to VH1's Save the Music Foundation.
Working with a UX strategist and copywriter, we developed a way for Murfie.com to start raising money: create a social media space where users dedicate albums to friends & family based on a theme provided my Murfie.com. The space, called The Hive, would allow users to have the ability to pledge an album—with the proceeds of the album going to VH1's Save the Music—buy a pledged album, or donate money. It was also designed to promote Murfie.com, drive more traffic to the site, and become a unique place for music lovers to converge.
*The concept and design were loved by Murfie.com, however due to changes in the company they were unable to implement the campaign.
