I was commissioned by Silpada Designs to create 5 double sided murals that would accentuate the aesthetic for their 2013 summer conference. The creative direction was supposed to follow along the lines of  "express yourself",  through the idea of grafitti or street art. One of the challenges I ran into was the fact that what the wanted had to fall inbetween "girly" (without obsessing over bubble letters) and grafitti (without falliing into the category of being too hard edged, masculine or unreadable). The most difficult part of this challenge was the fact that these walls were from a previous conference, which means that they came in two halves and had pre designed holes in the walls that made them resemble slices of swiss cheese. 

 

All in all, the company was pleased with how they turned out and they were a success at the conference, being used in photo ops and as social hot spots.
