The "MTV Bicentenario" has been the most important MTV Latinoamerica's project for 2010, and was broadcasted in Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Colombia, countries which are celebrating this year their 200 years of independence.

We were summoned to develop a surrealistic world in which two historical sides clash: Latin America Liberators with Spanish Realist. We represented each side as an army made of abstracts forms showing their origins and aspirations.

First they clash and fight during the morning light. By the night the battle is over and the survivors have mutated into new forms. They gather their casualties together in a central point and celebrate a rebirth ritual that generates an excessively vital energy explosion. Finally, the sunrise brings along the resurrection that comes from the heart of the earth. It is the beginning of a new identity resulting from the cultural mix.

Nos llamaron para desarrollar un mundo surrealista donde se enfrentan dos bandos históricos: Los Libertadores Latinoamericanos y los Realistas Españoles. Cada uno de ellos los hemos representado como dos ejércitos de formas abstractas que denotan sus orígenes y aspiraciones.

Primero se enfrentan y Chocan a la luz de la mañana. Por la noche la batalla ha finalizado y los sobrevivientes han sufrido mutaciones. Reúnen a sus muertos en un punto central y celebran un ritual de relanzamiento dónde el éxtasis genera una explosión desmedida de energía vital. Finalmente, el amanecer trae consigo la resurrección que proviene desde el interior de la tierra, donde ahora vemos nacer una nueva identidad fruto de la mezcla cultural.

This side represents the old cultures and Latin-American tribes deeply-rooted to the land, floods of life, color, energy and rhythm, they gallop all together in order to look after the mother nature.

Este bando representa a las viejas culturas y tribus latinoamericanas arraigadas a la tierra, llenas de vida, color, energía y ritmo, galopan todos juntos con el fin de cuidar a la madre naturaleza.

This another side represents the Spanish realists, entrusted to conquer the lands of the liberators. They move in a mechanical way, as a great machinery that devastate with everything in its way.

Este otro bando representa a los realistas españoles, encargados de conquistar las tierras de los libertadores. Accionan de manera mecánica como una gran maquinaria que arrasa con todo lo que se encuentre en su camino.

We also develop a comprehensive and complex navigation system that should contain a series of logos flexible for adding new shows to the package, all of them with a "masonic" symbolism, organization which most of the Latin American revolutionaries belonged to.

Desarrollamos también un basto y complejo sistema de navegación que debía albergar un sistema de logos, cuya flexibilidad permitiera agregar shows nuevos al paquete gráfico, todos con simbolismo "masónico", organización a la que pertenecían gran parte de los revolucionarios latinoamericanos.
