Movement Research Workshop by nomass inspired by Albert Camus's novel "The stranger".
the strange, the death, the absurd
The moment just before an action, man often notices that he can act one way or another without caring which one he follows. Freed from illusions concerning the established values, he acts as if life has no meaning.
...Equipped with tools from contemporary dance, dance theatre, tai chi and butoh, the workshop emphasises on:
• pause, posture, standstillness and discontinued movement
• alternation between extreme movement qualities and rhythms
• distancing and neutrality in the interpretation
The workshop is led by Vasso Polymeni and is addressed to dancers, actors and performers. An open presentation for the public will pursue the end of the workshop. Read Less
