  • Last year I saw Rancid play at Irving Plaza / (The Fillmore) in New York City... I have been heavy in to Punk rock since I was about 13 years old.

Rancid's record "Let's Go" was released in June of 1994  and the video for "Salvation" hit MTV and I was immediately hooked on Punk rock. I was blown away by the attitude, the power and the amazing Mohawks! Tim Armstrong and Lars Frederiksen still Rocked out and played an amazing show filled with memories of my formative years I danced and moshed and bobbed and get my face kicked in a few times... (A small price to pay to the punk rock gods!)

I  shot these photos on a Holga.... At one point during the show I dropped the camera in the mosh pit and considered it lost forever. Swallowed up by the evil pit and stomped to oblivion... I decided to move on with my life and accept the camera as a lost soldier.

About a 15 minutes went by and I managed to get a moment between songs to reach down on the the grimy swampy floor and EUREKA! I found it! The camera had survived!!! So I wound up a fresh roll and kept on shooting!
