Morris Animal Foundation Mural

Mural
Morris Animal Foundation moved into their new space, and realized they needed to do something with the 8 ft by 30 ft wall in their reception area. They originally asked me to paint a mural on the wall. A painted mural can add a nice artistic feel, it also can easily look unprofessional and tacky.  I talked them into vinyl artwork.. Clean looking silhouettes flanking each side of their logo.

Once the design was approved, I cleaned up my rough vector artwork. I printed out several full-size pieces on just plain paper on a plotter to test the size and placement before preparing the artwork for vinyl.  Each silhouette was arranged on the artboard to minimize the empty space on the sheet of vinyl. Once that done, I submitted the artwork to a sign vendor to cut out the vinyl.  I placed the logo down first since this was the center piece of the design. I used automotive pin-striping to as the horizon line. All the other pieces were place in relation to the horizon. This project came together very nicely.
