    MOKKACCINO

For my promotion project, I wanted to produce something unique, so I challenged myself by making a unique business card.

As a (freelance) designer, its pretty hard to get some exposure from the audience without the proper funding, Unlike the big advertising agency’s who can advertise their work on all kinds of media. This is where I realized, I needed to do something extraordinary and cheap, to get more exposure.

  • INSPIRATION

Everyday when I took the train go to work, I noticed that a lot of train passengers were drinking coffee. The prints on the coffee cups were mostly blank. but well designed. Allot of stores like star bucks sold their coffee with lids that kept the coffee warm and inside the cups.
That’s where I came up with the idea to make a business card in the shape of a coffee cup. its easy to produce and cheap when it comes to mass production.

The trick comes in when the train passengers see it as an ordinary coffee cup at first, and when they throw a second look, they’ll see something different.
It also fits the location, because it’s very comon to see coffee cups which are left behind on train passenger tables.

The print of the cup displays a black and white version of my graffiti art. The characters on the art cover have a background story for a game I will be working on in the future.

  • EXECUTION

I’ve generated a QR code, which is linked to my online portfolio. These can be scanned with mobile smart phones. its very effective and easier than typing a long web dress name in your browser.
The cups and lids were bought separately in particular a store. The layout was printed on 90 grams paper.
