  • Visual Identity
    The renewal of the corporte identity of the National Theatre of Miksolc was decided in the May of 2012.
    Which task was given to the students of the Department of Visual Arts at EKF.
    The design I come up with is based on a mesh of isoscales, on which I created a wide variety of unified shapes. From this framework I composed both the main theme and the grapic designs of the stages.
    The first eye catching thing in the theatre is the iconic „M” shape of the courtain, which makes a solid theme
    of the whole image. It also referres to the city of Miskolc, which makes it a good centerpiece. Also a number
    of varieties to the letter „M” can be created via the isoscelic composition. Since the theatre has four stages not only the creation of a single logo was necessary, but four others as well, each related to a specific stage.
    The main logo is present on the other items of identity, such as programme guides. I designed the stage related logos in a similar fashion, but each resembling to the shape, colour and the overall mood of the scene keeping in mind the plays performed there. With the choice of colours my aim was to deliver the spirit of the scene,
    in a powerful, modern yet harmonic way.
