This brief was taken from the typography section of the 2012 D&AD Student Awards. Ministry of Sound is one of the worlds most iconic nightclubs. Celebrating its 21st birthday in 2012, Ministry of Sound and Studio Output asked for three typographically-focused A2 outdoor posters. These would then act as a three month advertising campaign for their world renowned London event, Saturday Sessions. The posters had to communicate a clear conceptual theme based around the club and/or its music, although this could be as abstract or literal as you wanted. The posters should strike a balance between experimentation, expression and legability, communicating the dates and DJs clearly. Guidance was given on both the colour palette and logo.
