- “Goodbye Vanarpy” is part of a series that deals with the idea of transformation.
I say goodbye to my “Me-Monsters” and let go of old familiar ways of thinking in order to accept all of myself and trust in life. Using a book as support, I combine a miniature polymer clay sculpture, a painted image, a poem, and a hand-crank mechanism. - Goodbye Vanarpy!
Farewell and adieu!
I no longer need you,
I’m changing
it’s true.
You’ve had a good ride,
but my will has grown strong.
Your whispers have faded,
from my mind
they’re gone.
My ego entrenched you,
my heart sets you free.
Now I’m opening doors,
going in
looking for me.
For my wishes I’ve planted,
and like flowers they bloom.
They show me the way,
as I reach for
the moon.
Goodbye Vanarpy!
Farewell and adieu!
Now I do what I wish,
and I wish
what I do.
