In cities of high density like Paris and Singapore, natural phenomenons such as rain and sun are often perceived to be a nuisance. “Mimosa” forms a modular shelter in the city. The juxtaposition of the different leaves create a refreshing experience onto the shelter. Just like a mimosa plant, the leaves react to sunlight and rain, creating a new experience of natural elements within an urban context.

Over the period of 3 months, a collaboration between a group of Singaporean and French students first met in Paris to discuss the problems and potentials of the pleasure of water in the urban context. They continued this communication over Skype, generating different concepts and ideas over email, web-cam and tele-conference. They ended their journey when the group re-united in Singapore, whereby they presented the final outcome.
