Columbia Records: Miles Davis, In A Silent Way

This a 1969 album featuring a full-blown electric approach. I had the chance to learn about Miles from Ashley Kahn, author of Kind Of Blue, who knew him. The album is about transitioning from acoustic to electrical sound. Transitioning, then, is used as a conceptual design vehicle throughout; the color goes from blue to yellow; patterns based on photos of Miles' shirts range from organic to mathematical; the slip case cover is blue, but the book cover is yellow; The Mix is a hybrid between a serif font and a sans serif.
