I have always had the belief that making a gift is far better than purchasing one. On that note, this is the 2nd installment of my holiday screen prints. Considering this was going to be quite an involving project I wanted to create something that could relate to everyone who was to receive a print. The concept I ended up toying with was capturing the essence of the Midwest, showing the different scenes spread across this homey countryside. I moved the view from the north woods all the way down to the city skyline, hoping to uncover small happy memories of all the people who looked it over, reminding them of the home they love.
This print is 20" x 28", with 4 pulls. I played around with some halftones and overprinting seeing what the mix of colors would do. This is also the largest edition that I've done with 35 total printed.
