MiBar opened in 2010 in one of Johannesburg's thriving nightlife areas. It is the first of a few concept stores that are linked by an invite-only, VIP social network called MiWorld. MiWorld informs members of all VIP events and keeps you connected with other MiWorld member. MiBar was the city's first bar to offer touch tables allowing guests to order their snacks and cocktails with a simple touch of the screen as well as log onto Facebook and YouTube. Sponsored by Martini the challenge was to create a unique brand for MiBar, remain within the MiWorld family and respect Martini's brand wishes. MiBar is an entire brand experience, from virtual community to an actual space in which all elements and touch points create a perception in the viewers mind, a perception that is sexy, cutting edge and sophisticated.
