Az idei X. Budapesti Design hét nyitókiállítása a Metszéspontok X Crossovers a design határátlépéseivel, a műfajokon átívelő gondolkodásmódot mutatja be. Az újra előtérbe kerülő személyesség, természetesség, narrativitás ma már olyan határátlépések nyomán jönnek létre, amik a tervezést tudományos kutatásokkal,
biotechnológiával, vagy a hulladékfeldolgozással és más rendszerekkel kapcsolják össze. A kortárs design unikális és innovatív csúcsteljesítményeit bemutató kiállítás célja a craft eredeti jelentésének megfelelően a dolgok működésének megismerése, az emberi környezetet formáló határátlépések láthatóvá tétele.
The opening exhibition of this year"s X. Budapest Design Week / the Metszéspontok X Crossovers / is represents the genre-spanning way of thinking with the "border crossings" of design. The personalness, naturalness and narrativity coming to the front again today come into the being on the basis of "border crossings" that connect design with researches, biotechnology or with recycling of waste and other systems. The exhibiton show the unique and innovative records of contemporary design and its goal in accordance with the original meaning of craft is get to know the function of things and to make visible the "border crossings" forming human environment.
