A proposta era desenvolver de uma embalagem cartotécnica de chocolate para um filme de livre escolha. Escolhi Metropolis (1927), de Fritz Lang, tanto por gosto pessoal quanto pelas possibilidades interessantes de experimentação.
Pensei em uma embalagem promocional de um evento fictício no MIS (Museu da Imagem e do Som) onde o filme seria exibido. O chocolate seria distribuído aos visitantes na entrada da sessão.
Decidi representar o filme pelo conceito de modernidade, que a história se passa em uma cidade futurista, sob a perspectiva dos anos 20. O formato da caixa foi baseado nas formas aerodinâmicas do Streamline. A tipografia utilizada no logo é a Bifur, de A. M. Cassandre, representante do design modernista. A tipografia de apoio é a Caviar Dreams, de Lauren Thompson.
The proposal was to develop a chocolate package for a film of choice. I chose Metropolis (1927), by Fritz Lang, both by personal taste as the interesting possibilities of experimentation.
Thought of a promotional package of a fictitious event at MIS (Museum of Image and Sound) where the film would be shown. Chocolate would be distributed to visitors at the entrance of the session.
I decided to represent the film by the concept of modernity, the story takes place in a futuristic city, from the perspective of 20 years. The shape of the box was based on aerodynamic shapes of Streamline. The typography used in the logo is Bifur, A. M. Cassandre, representative of modernist design. The typography support is Caviar Dreams, Lauren Thompson.
