is a village in the Sahara Desert in Morocco, The desert is 50km long and 5km wide set of sand dunes that reach up to 350m. Merzouga is definitely one of the most breath taking places I have ever seen. It is so peaceful and the people there lead a very simple life. Most people who visit there are to take a camel safari into the dunes, and to get a taste of remote (tourism-influenced) Berber life.The local population is mix of Arabs and Berber, and are extremely welcoming and friendly.
