These soaps were from a packaging assignment in Typography II. Students were given the choice of designing packaging for organic or "green" products such as, light bulbs, bath and beauty care products, or tea. I chose to do bar soap because I think the packaging for most soaps are very simple and elegant.
I was in honors french classes during all four years of high school and the language and culture have
a big influence on me. I wanted a brand name that was simple, rolled off the tongue, and could be seen in a
boutique. "Merveilleux" means "wonderful" in french and I thought it was perfect.
These soaps are 100% natural and packaged with organic materials. All text is written in french telling
the consumer of the ingredients and that this product was not tested on animals. These soaps are targeted
towards french consumers and have a light sophisticated feeling.
