I was asked to create an identity for a new bespoke luxury retail brand. The core focus of the brand are luxury, non-essential products centred around custom-tailored menswear including morning, evening and dinner suits, waist-coats and three-piece suits. The brand also includes handmade shoes and classic Maltese silverware. All products within the Merchants Street of Malta range are sourced from the European island-nation of Malta. The products originate from a country with its own storied tradition (going back thousands of years, and including the legendary Knights of Malta) with a heavy influence from the years of English occupation.
I created a brand inspired by the wrought-iron railings, vintage shop signs and other architectural elements found in the majestic Merchants Street in Valletta, Malta's capital city.
