The MEDICINET Project is considered as the first serious large-scale effort focusing to the cooperation of hospitals in the field of emergency and urgent medical issues. It was developed jointly by people working in the hospitals of Komotini (Greece) and Kardjali (Bulgaria), taking into consideration the real needs of the medical services in both areas. The central need which triggered this project’s plan and development is the new road which will connect Komotini and Kardzhali. This road is a part of the Transeuropean network and more specifically part of Corridor 9.
After that brief we were assigned to undertook the logo and web design.
The LOGO
The main idea is the connection between the two hospitals, two nations, two cities, all based on the road. Also both city names begin with "K".
We used the cross as the main symbol, to justify that hospital is the key factor to this project. The road is the axis where two K mirrors each other. The green in the north for the Kirdjali and the blue in the south for Komotini.
