Howard Wright required caregiver and patient handsets to be designed for the M8 ICU and M9 Ward hospital bed. Caregivers and patients struggled to interpret old controls accurately in an emergency setting. A range of graphic concepts were thoroughly tested by end users for their intuitive interpretation before finalizing the simple schematic design.
