The series Media-Noche is mixture between resting fruits, balloons, creatures, surrealist paintings, fashion for fruits etc... The sketch idea came from my fascination on Cotan´s still life’s and his mystical understanding towards form.
The name comes from the Spanish translation of media = stockings and noche = night. The whole word translates for midnight. Also, the Cuban sandwich called medianoche, which earns his name from the time it was typically eaten, after a night of dancing, to staff off hunger.
